The great thing about outlinging? I already have a very good idea what I am going to be writing up to chapter five!
The...more challenging thing? I had gotten quite used to letting the story line flow as I go along. The story was chugging along with it almost flowing so naturally that it felt like I was simply telling a story that I knew. Now I have to create the whole story in advance...more fast paced, but at times I get a little stuck for the next idea. Something which did not (almost, at all) during the whole writing of Book of Remembrance. I think once I go back to the start to write the details, it will all be worth it. I hope.
Found a fantastic blog with great tips: http://kierstenwrites.blogspot.com
After reading that, I feel encouraged. Awesome.
Tomorrow will be filled with writing (and a bit of cleaning I suppose :-/) Can't wait!

I just outlined a new novel on friday and loved that process. But I love flying by the seat of my pants too. I am writing because I saw on twitter you are an optician/writer. I used to be an optician and am now a full time writer. I felt a kinship and so thought i'd pop over and say hello :)
ReplyDeleteHi! How awesome! You are where I hope to be some time in the near future (full time writer)! What have you written?
DeleteI wrote my first novel just off the cuff, but I thought I would try outlining this time. I am looking forward to start filling in the gaps!
